Interview with Lori Pearce

We chose to interview Lori Pearce. The students in our group are: Chelsea O., Jeffery S., Vincent J., Sergio C., Salvador C., Miguel G., Ismael M. and Andrea R. We chose Mrs. Pearce because she is the president of our School Site Council, a nice person and she helps out a lot in the community.

Mrs. Pearce lives in Carpinteria. She was born in Long Beach, California in 1961. All three houses she lived in were very fun homes. Her parent's names are Louis and Iona Fatzinger. She grew up in San Diego and went to SDSU and she studied computers in college. Both of her parents are immigrants, her mother was from Canada and her dad was from Germany. Both of her parents have passed away.

Mrs. Pearce works at NuSil Technologies. NuSil is a Silicone manufacturer that donated ideas, materials and people to work for our Science Fair last year.

Mrs. Pearce is the 1st generation of her family to live in Carpinteria. She has lived here for 19 years. She has two kids, and their names are Nicole and Brock. Nicole is currently attending Main School and Brock attended last year. Mrs. Pearce enjoys traveling with her children. She also has a dog named Xena.

Mrs. Pearce's mother influenced her to help the community. She helps often at Main School. She volunteers weekly in Nicole's classroom and in the computer lab. She is president of Main School Site Council. She helps out with the Brownie troop. She is the president of a swim club, and coach's softball. She has been involved with the community for 19 years. To her, service leadership means being a part of the community.

Mrs. Pearce traveled a lot and still does. Her favorite sport is tennis. Her favorite animals are dogs/puppies. Her favorite color is purple. Her favorite subject is math.

Mrs. Pearce does a lot for Main School. She is not only President of our School Site Council, she also helps out with after school programs, such as the homework club, CyberFair 2000, and the Computer Club.
