Q: What is your full name?

A: Margo Ann Kahler

Q: Were you named after anyone?

A: Yes, my mother Margaret

Q: Where were you born?

A: outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Q: What are your parents' names?

A: Harry Luis and Margaret

Q: What do you remember about the house you lived in?

A: an old colonial farmhouse, 52 acres.

Q: What do you remember most about you childhood?

A: I grew up on a farm. It was wonderful, with a lot of animals.

Q: Tell me about your family?

A: English, Irish, Scottish, and German

Q: What is your family background, personal history (grandparents, great grandparents, relatives) and their roles in the community?

A: My dad was a chemist, and my mom was a painter of furniture. My dad was a leader in the church and my mom was a Girl Scout leader.

Q: What previous professions have they had?

A: Dad ran a county fair.

Q: Are there some other people that have contributed to your success as a community leader?

A: My aunt for Spanish and helped me to be a teacher.

Q: Could you describe your profession to me? What do you do at your job?

A: I am a teacher. I am also in the choir at church and a Deaconess.

Q: What path did you take to become a leader?

A: Watched other leaders volunteer. Loved to work.

Q: What does the term "Civic Leadership" mean to you?

A: That you live in such a way and are a good example for others.

Q: What contributions you have made to the community?

A: I have been teaching children for 33 years.

Q: How long have you been involved with the community (with what he/she does)?

A: since 1967
