We interviewed Sandra Townsend Ellis

Hi! My name is Yesenia G. and my friend Jasmine V. and I worked together on our interview. We interviewed Sandra Townsend Ellis. She was born in New York City. Her father's name was Oliver Townsend. Her mom's name is Virginia Kelly Townsend. She grew up in Wilmette, Illinois. She liked the house where she grew up. It was a big house for a big family. She liked the big tree in the big yard. She was the oldest of five children. Her family always went to the cabin on a lake for their summer vacation.

Her mother and her father were both teachers in the community. They lived in their community most of their time. Her father was a lawyer. Her mother was a teacher. She taught 9thGrade at Cate School P.O Box 5005 Carpinteria, California 93014.

She takes students to Mexico to learn more about Mexico. She is a leader because she is very interested in helping people. She is interested in the community.
