Mr. Bennett - A Community Leader

Mr. Bennett

Mr. Bennett is an important part of our community and of Main School. Mr. Bennett is our physical education teacher. He was born in Sullivan, Indiana. His full name is Clyde Bennett. He was named after his uncle. His parent's names are William and Beth. His father is still alive and he is 80 years old! He has one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Bennett grew up in Paramount, California. He lived in three different houses there. He remembers doing a lot of fun things in his childhood such as Boy Scouts, sports, church and school. His family has lived in Santa Barbara for 33 years. He has one son and two daughters and six grandchildren!

Although Mr. Bennett's father was a contractor, his grandmother was a teacher. Mr. Bennett's friends and relatives encouraged him to be a teacher. As a community leader he is a coach and a sports official. He organized and coaches adult softball teams. He officiates all levels of sports-youth, high school, college and adult.

He has been a physical education teacher at Montecito Union School as well as Main School. Mr. Bennett is a great teacher and community leader.
